Ease on down the road…

The Yippie van is grounded. 😦 It goes but gets stuck. My hubby has replaced the water pump, the fuel pump, the freeze plug, the thermostat (twice) and the thingy the key goes in, which included a new key. After all that, he doesn’t feel safe letting me out of the driveway so it has been backed up under the pecan tree until further notice and I have taken to calling it the “chicken house” because I saw a movie in which some elderly brothers used an old school bus to house their poultry.

My laying ladies do need a good new home but I was hoping it would be cuter than a worn out shell from my van.

So now we are easing on down the road in the Chevy Cavalier donated by Uncle Buddy so that we can keep our new jobs.

My new job is good. It suits my abilities and personalities although all the employees seem a bit stressed and anxious all the time. No worries. They are all good hard working people like myself trying to do their job and pay their bills with the compensation.

My two younger sons celebrated their birthdays this month and I am pleased to have gotten to spend time with them both (since Leon lives in Mississippi and can’t just pop in) but I am just as pleased that they got to spend time with their other siblings. We always wanted our children to have a strong bond.

O Praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 117 1-2
